What is OCR?
OCR: Optical Character Recognition. The OCR process converts an image file into a text file. The text file can be searched or edited in a word processor or other text-based application.

Why OCR?
In very large document populations, reviewing with only bibliographic coding requires many man-hours. By adding OCR, searching for relevant documents by keywords speeds the review process.

Why choose D-M for OCR?
D-M has used and evaluated the major OCR programs. Because of the special feature "hits in text", we process with IPRO-OCR. IPROVIEW users can see search result hits on the image, allowing for easy reviewing of multi-page documents in OCR collections.
