On March 10, 2008, the California Department of General Services
(DGS) renewed D-M's Master Services Agreement
(MSA Agreement Number 5-08-70-05) for Document Conversion Services,
allowing D-M to continue providing document conversion and indexing
services to public entities in State, county, city, and regional
agencies, as well as special districts.
Conversion Services
D-M can provide a variety of services related to document
management. These activities, listed more completely on our
Services
page, include the following:
- Processing electronically stored information (ESI) into useable formats
- Scanning paper documents
- Indexing documents to create searchable databases
- Hosting online document repositories
- Linking document data to images, allowing sophisticated
image retrieval
- Preparing documents for scanning and reassembling them
after scanning
- Providing electronic images in a variety of formats (e.g.,
TIFF, JPG, IPRO, PDF)
- Providing both black & white and color scanned images
- Scanning oversized documents up to 40" wide and
10' long
- Delivering images on a variety of media (e.g., CD-ROM,
JAZ, DAT, 9-track)
- Converting images from one format to another, or from
one media to another
- Converting database information to different media
- Converting database information for import into different
software packages
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
No Need for Bids
This contract gives public entities the ability to take advantage
of D-M's services at highly competitive, pre-approved rates. The
DGS awarded this contract to D-M after a competitive bidding process
that selected qualified firms.
How to Proceed
After obtaining internal authorization, public entities can place
orders under this contract by completing STD
65 (click to download), Contract/Delegation Purchase Order,
and mailing one copy to each of the following:
